Plant Based Diet Video on Netflix
Occasionally, there has been a series or show that mentions the keto diet here or there. More recently, Netflix's top shows and movies can't stop talking about keto. The wildly popular nutrition plan has gained so much attention from dieters in the past decade that it is now garnering even more publicity from the likes of ironclad celebrities (Megan Fox, Lebron James, and Gwyneth Paltrow to name a few!), as well as from Hollywood story lines.
Hello, YOU
For those of you who haven't seen the new season of You, all I can say is, set aside some time this weekend to binge-watch it–you won't be disappointed. As you may know from the end of season two, Joe and Love moved to a new city and are starting a new life.
Love really enjoys baking and in the beginning of the season, discovers they now live in an extremely health-conscious city. So, what does she do? She opens a keto bakery! Though we are all (weirdly) vested in these serial killers' lives, I wouldn't be too disappointed if a keto bakery popped up in every city (under the condition they weren't run by serial killers, of course).
Finally, in episode three, Love offers her friends some delicious looking keto vanilla scones. I've personally never had one, but here's a great recipe from Carolyn (the writer and recipe developer behind All Day I Dream About Food) that probably tastes even better than Love's.
True Story–Kevin Hart
I won't lie to you. I finished this entire season (all seven episodes) in one night with my family after Thanksgiving. Besides the fact that it stars Kevin Hart, this movie is an interesting combination where his real life of comedy is juxtaposed with an ominous world that involves crime and murder.
In episode four, the woman who writes most of his jokes for him, Billie, does her own stand-up show. She goes on to joke, "Like my friend, she lost a bunch of weight, she feels amazing, and any chance she gets she would love to give you her testimony to her Lord and Savior, the keto diet."
Well Billie, please put me in touch with that friend because I would love to hear her testimony of how keto changed her life, just like it has helped hundreds of thousands of others (not just) to lose weight, but also feel better.
Bruised–Halle Berry
Last, but certainly not least, we have a movie starring an absolute badass—55 year-old, Halle Berry. Besides being one of the best actors of all time, Halle Berry has been eating a keto diet for over 30 years since being diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 22.
In her new movie on Netflix, Bruised, Halle (aka Jackie "Pretty Bull" Justice) plays a former MMA fighter who is looking for redemption in the cage and the courage to face her demons, when the son she had given up as an infant unexpectedly re-enters her life.
Overall, these shows are ranked in the Top 10 on Netflix at the time of this article. With the New Year right around the corner, many people are going to be looking to keto to try and help them get back on track. If you want to be like Love, Billie, or a badass like Halle Berry, we've put together 10 carefully crafted steps to help you start, succeed, and sustain keto.
